The Graduate Accelerator Program (GAP) provides qualified candidates with immersive technical training in full stack web development or data science (the choice is yours) to prepare them for a career in tech and tech-adjacent roles - think software engineering, UX/UI, project management, data science, etc. After completing training, we help to place grads in roles at TTS, deployed to work for our nationwide network of hiring partners.
There are over 700k open computing roles with only 70k computer science majors graduating annually (about 10% of the requirement needed to fill the demand). Yet unemployment rates are still soaring. What does that mean? It means that there is a huge number of people out of work in parallel with an even bigger number of open positions in the market. There is a gap between the skills that these folks have, and the skills they need to get these open roles. And that is where we come in.
We recruit individuals from all over the U.S. (you), with various backgrounds and real talent, and reskill them into lucrative long-term careers with our hiring partners at no cost to them.
Tech Talent & Strategy (formerly Tech Talent South), is a certified woman-owned tech recruitment, training, staffing, and consulting company. We partner with startups, SMBs, global consultancies, and Fortune 500 companies to build sustainable tech talent pipelines. TTS accesses individuals with aptitude, equips them with technical skills, and deploys them to work for our partners in a rapid timeframe, cutting recruiting costs and the education timeline. Our goal has always been to create opportunities for people: to listen, mentor, and connect them with resources. When you join TTS, you become a member of a national team of thinkers, creators, dreamers, and doers. We are building a diverse tech community for a better future, one person at a time.
To be eligible for GAP, candidates need to have:
When candidates enroll, they are agreeing to give their best effort throughout the training program and to allow us the opportunity place them in a role with us or our clients. If at the end of 90 days following training we are unable to place them in a role with us or a client, they are released from the agreement.
A $14,750 tuition recovery payment would apply if you 1) drop out of the program, 2) fail to complete the program requirements in good faith, or 3) decline the additional training or placement opportunities that we offer within 90 days of completing your training.
Why?
But, if at the end of the 90 days post-training we are unable to place you in a role or through additional training, you are released from the agreement and walk away with a free education that would normally cost nearly $15,000.

Candidates can choose between training in Full Stack Web Development (either Mondays - Fridays from 9am - 12pm EST or Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 6pm-9pm EST) or training in Data Science (Tuesdays & Thursdays from 6pm - 9pm EST). Most courses run for an average of 10 weeks. All programs are fully remote and fully live over Zoom, so you do need to be available for class times. Candidates should expect to spend ample time practicing outside of class.
The homework is meant to reinforce and build on what you've learned in class. As each student learns at a different pace, it's difficult to say exactly how much time it would take for you to complete an assignment. We advise that you plan to spend time each day practicing and working on your homework. The most successful candidates tend to spend 2-4 hours practicing for every hour of class time. Ultimately, the effort you put into learning will directly correlate to your success in class.
Additional training includes self-paced modules, other TTS training programs, and/or bespoke corporate upskilling programs.
We create self-paced modules based on in-demand skills that our partners are hiring for. These are designed for your benefit so that you can maximize your time with us and add more skills to your resume. Some will take a few hours, others will take longer. You are expected to complete the necessary modules based on the learning track that you have chosen after speaking with your program manager during the foundational program. These may be topics like agile, software development lifecycle (SDLC), Kubernetes, and more.
Yes, this program is designed to train you on the foundations of full-stack web development. It is an intense and immersive experience; you will learn a lot in a short time period but, if you put in the time and effort, you can succeed. If you are interested in getting a head start, we can provide you with free resources to practice before class begins.
Yes, you must have your own laptop or computer and a webcam. Being on camera greatly improves everyone's engagement in class and the overall classroom experience.
There are lots of ways that we will support you on your road to success. When the program begins, our talent success team and program managers will reach out for 1-on-1 calls to check-in, see how you’re doing, and understand your goals. It is really important to keep an open line of communication with them. They’ll review your resume and LinkedIn with you and can run you through technical and behavioral mock interviews. If you need additional support, they can point you in the direction of tutoring or other resources.
Our team and instructors constantly provide feedback to our partners on different metrics like attitude, engagement, attendance, ability to complete work, professionalism and performance on assessments for each candidate because we look at the holistic picture of making sure you’re learning the technical skills you need, but also analyzing soft skills that would make you an integral part of any future team.
After completing your foundational training, we have a 90-day window to help place you through additional training or in a role with our hiring partners. So how does the match process work? We create a talent profile for each candidate that goes into a database that gets matched with opportunities at TTS and with our corporate partners. We work directly with hiring managers and talent acquisition teams at various companies across the US. We are your biggest advocate, pressing through communication on the backend to match you with amazing opportunities.
We have been chosen as a preferred vendor to multiple Fortune 500 companies while also partnering with our long-time friends in the start-up world. Our roster of hiring partners will constantly vary based on client demands. Check out our recent partnership with Lowe’s.
The kinds of roles that we are looking to fill vary widely. Some positions are highly technical (ex. Software Developer, Mobile Developer, UX/UI Developer) and others are tech-driven but utilize additional skill sets (ex. Business Analyst, DevOps Engineer, Data Analyst/Specialist). We always take into consideration each candidate's unique background, interests, and skills when considering which open roles would be the best fit for them. While we can't guarantee that you will get a specific kind of job, we do our best to find a role that is a good fit for you.
We place talent in junior to senior-level roles, depending on their skill and experience level. As a TTS alumnus, you can always come back to us when you’re ready for your next opportunity.
We cannot guarantee job placement because, as with any job interview, you still need to demonstrate that you can perform the necessary skills. It’s largely up to you to make sure you are practicing, listening to feedback, and prepping for any interviews. We’ve lined everything up for you, all you have to do is hit out of the park. There’s a direct correlation between our candidates who are giving it their all and spending hours working through 50-60 practice algorithms a week who tend to get hired more quickly. Just like learning a foreign language, the more you practice, the more confident and natural things become.
We do not have data around this, unfortunately, but we do our very best to find a role for each candidate. It’s our goal to help each candidate succeed and secure meaningful employment.
We strongly encourage everyone to be open to relocation to open up more placement opportunities. The locations we are currently hiring in will vary regularly.
We do not have data around this, unfortunately, but we only partner with companies that pay the current market rate. We would recommend researching the average starting salary for tech roles on the Bureau of Labor Statistics site to get an idea of the market rates for tech roles around the US.
We can provide you with a letter of completion after you successfully finish the program. It would be up to your school as to whether or not they would give you credit for participating in our program.
